A Description of Lasik

If you are currently experiencing vision problems, which are caused by refractive issues, you may be able to resolve them with Lasik Eye Surgery.   Of course, you may now be wondering what the Lasik eye surgery consists of.  The intent of this article is to answer that question in layman terms.

First, it is important to point out that Lasik eye surgery is successful approximately 95% of the time in restoring a patient’s vision to perfect vision (i.e. 20/20).  In the other 5%, there is usually some degree of vision correction.

Interested in Wearing Contact Lenses?

Are you interested in wearing contact lenses but are not sure if they are right for you? There are a few things you should know before you decide on whether or not contact lenses are right for you. As well as deciding these things for yourself, you may want to discuss these with your eye doctor in order to make a better educated decision.

First, it is important to note that while wearing contacts does have its distinct advantages over wearing glasses, it also has its downfalls. Contacts can sometimes be harder to put in than glasses as well as harder to take off. Your eye doctor will explain to you how to take your contact lenses on and off when you go in to get them.
