When thinking of designing a closet there are a few things to consider. What is the function that I need it to do? Is the closet designed for a man, woman or both. What items are going to be stored in the closet? Who will use it more?
Before you even think about what you will need to construct the closet you will need to think about the function. If it is going to be used for coats, dresses, extra storage it will need to be designed a little bit different then if you were going to use it for a linen closet.
Once you have thought about the function think about the person that it will be used for. For example: If you are using the closet for a female who has a lot of shoes, you might want to think about designing a closet that has more space for storing shoes.
